xxxxxxxx your an educated chap what bat do you use and why?
I use an Instinct custom zenith because it was made for me and is lovely. I haven't had the chance to test my SAF yet! Are you in london this week Norbs? Would love a collect and greet!

~ How good is the ping?
Remarkable. Sounds like a rifle and has a massive and very forgiving middle. Balls reach the boundary in the blink of an eye...

~ More importantly what does it weigh and what size edges does it have?
I have never measured the edges but they are reasonably chunky and pass the fpote test. It weighs just under 2lb 10oz.

~ Finally why makes it good?
The knowledge that it was made to fit and the rewarding sensation when lumping the bask back past the bowler.

xxxxxxxx your an educated chap what bat do you use and why? Solitaire Pink - had £100 and always wanted to buy British made and was lured into the promise of G1 willow (more like G3!).

~ How good is the ping? The best bat I have owned so far, the middle is good nothing exceptional but reliable enough to know when you hit it well enough it will go for 4. However the toe and slightly above middle could be better - in comparison to previous bats I have had.

~ More importantly what does it weigh and what size edges does it have? 2'13 with 2 grips, 30mm edges.

~ Finally, what makes it good? Cost, can't go far wrong at £100 and the pick up is improved with the extra grip. I have been more surprised with its longevity as it is now well into its 2nd season with over 2200 runs scored with it and god knows how many net sessions (this is the only bat I currently own), however I think I might just have got lucky. Would I recommend Solitaire? No, to put it bluntly.

your an educated chap what bat do you use and why? Redback Allegience Premier, because Gary was recommended I'd seen many good examples of his work thanks to various forums.

~ How good is the ping? Best bat I have ever used, most expensive bat I've bought but it really has to be used to be believed.

~ More importantly what does it weigh and what size edges does it have? 2lb 15oz, never measured the edges but they are big.

~ Finally, why makes it good? The balance of the bat means although dead weight it is heavy the 'pick up' just feels right when you lift the bat.
