During our game today, it was raining. We were fielding and I thought 'oh, its alright, i put my kit bag in the shed'.

Our seconds were called off and they were playing in the net, in the pouring rain. With MY BAT! I was not happy and went off at drinks and had a go.

They ruined the grip, its was white, now red from ball dye. And the scuff sheet has peeled at the bottom. Revealing some very wet wood and the wood has creased down the grain at the toe. What can I do to it?

let it dry naturally, sand and oil. new scuff, good as new!

Bin it, get a new one  lol. I'd bill the b*****ds that played with it for a new scuffle sheet and a refurb lol.

what you have to do mate is leave it a week. leave the grip on but smear it with vaseline.
then when you see the seconds you shove it straight up one of their ars*s to teach them a lesson for doing it.

I usually find no one touches my stuff after that.

I'm not the biggest of kids, or feared at all, but if someone used my kit in nets without asking I'd have to buy a new bat from breaking it on their heads. I may not look after my kit brilliantly, but no-one else uses it without asking.
