Having read the awful news that Lekka just posted regarding Shane Getkate I would like us all to take a minute to pay our respects to somebody I knew who died whilst at the crease on Saturday. He was batting and collapsed and died. He was 45 years old and one hell of a cricketer having scored 24 centuries, 90 fifties, taken over 450 wickets and took over 170 catches. He leaves a wife and 3 young children.

On a similar topic, our chairman at the our club died last season having just hit a 4 and then had a heart attack. Was horrible. Biggest club member ever, true devotion to our club.
