Somerset, the unluckiest team in the country?
« on: June 24, 2011, 08:20:59 PM »

They have had their last 4 T20 matches called off. Tonight they played Sussex, rain reduced it to 15 overs. Somerset hit 177-4 from their 15. A surely unpassable score.

They had Sussex 0-1 and then 40-2 from 3.4 overs. Needing 5 overs to constitute a match when bad light/drizzle stopped play and eventually ended it.

I'm going up there on Sunday, also my 18th birthday and hopefully they will have more luck!

I was there tonight, Tresco, Hildy and Pollard batted brilliantly! Sussex got off to a flyer (Bar the first ball) and Vincent was smashing it everywhere, so if 5 overs where played I reckon Sussex would have been ahead on Duckworth Lewis.... And I can fully understand why it was called off, it was really dark for around 30 minutes prior to them calling it off.... Was a great innings by Somerset though :(
