Charlie French Kit.
« on: July 18, 2011, 02:07:08 PM »

I was just looking for some information on Charlie French kit as i am considering kitting myself out with it later this season.

Looking for info on: Comfort
                           Durability
                           Weight

Thanks, Tom.

I have more experience with the bats then the softs, but I have several team mates with softs.

They have a new range this year, so hard to comment on durability, but there previous range seemed fairly durable - 2 team mates in particular who are not re-knowned for looking after their gear have made CF softs last a good few seasons.

Whether the new ranges is just as durable remains to be seen, as no one will have owned them as long.

I've tried on the PPR1 gloves and was impressed - think I'll probably have these as my next pair - can't comment on the comfort of the pads though.

Weight wise, I might be able to find out - gut instinct is that they are neither super light, nor overly heavy.

My friend got a 40% off package deal when he was playing county. 5 years later, he is still using all the gear. So durability and quality are good!

I have the gloves.. Not very keen, do not like the feel and a little small for me. Bought at start of season but never used them in a match. Will get pictures if anyone is interested in buying them, just lying around at the moment!
