I don't think he would have known that he broke it. It all happened in split second. This would not be the only time this has happened in history.
I respect Dan Vettori alot, but i don't call it cheating. If he's caught doing it many times then theres a worthy accusation. I'm sure almost every keeper has taken a ball in front of the stumps.
If Vettori wants to blame someone blame the umpires. I know its being a bit critical and a bit harsh but hear me out. If the ball has not hit the stumps and dislodged the bails, and Brad Haddin has taken the ball in front the stumps the square leg umpire should have called no-ball. Now this is alot to expect of an umpire. Also I feel the bowlers end umpire was not 100% sure that the batter had been bowled. So he should have talked to the square leg umpire about what he should have done.
