Lancy Lancy Lancy Lancy Lancashire !!!

Well what an absolutely brilliant end to a cricket season and especialy as Lancashire finally won the county championship after what 77 years or so. Have to mention what a special effort its been for a superb county forget overseas and non qualified players like so many county's now use home grown talent is the future.

We tried for many many years with many overseas players etc etc but its very special to win the biggest trophy in this way, Glenn Chappel deserves it all.

Im picking up Farokh Engineer from the airport and having lunch with him on Monday. Looking forward to having a chat about Lancashire and also Indias disaster of a tour. He is quite a character and great fun.

He is a really decent bloke and is helping us promote cricket in Spain. He entertained the Malaysian team at his home in Manchester 25 years ago and still remembers my Dad. Im looking forward to returning the hospitality here in Spain. The Surrey lads coming here next week, Hamilton Browne, Maynard and Batty.
