Hunts County Bat

Purchased this off ebay. It was a raffle prize for somebody and hadn't been looked after. I suspect judging by the seam marks and the minor cracks that it hadn't been knocked in enough. Anyway, I've glued and sanded down the cracks, added fibre tape on the edges and anti scuff and it looks much better.
Before tape and scuff applied:-

Hunts make lovely bats indeed. Got a bat here with 10 of the cleanest, straight grains I have seen and it has a lovely balance and lots of wood for 2.7!

Its a slightly "odd" design. It has a very thin shoulder edge with the wood almost concaved around the splice. The edges thicken out to 20-25mm at a guess and the concaving disappears into a middle swell. The wood then drops sharply into a thin toe - not horribly thin though. Weighs 2'8 and picks up well. Bouncing a ball on it and the middle feels nice but could do with a couple of hours knocking in, will also help to flatten out those seam marks.
