my bro has had them, he said that its hard work, they mainly want to test your fitness so expect a bit of running, and then they test your thinking, see if you think cricket not only have a batting and bowling skills. and i have had advice off a few people that you should try and get yourself noticed not in a bad way or annoying way tho

i have had quite a lot in the last few years,

the first trail is usually just a long net, or two shorter nets where the first one is random ability and the second will be ability based.

second trial is usually a shorter net with a LOT of fitness!!

this is based on what i have experienced at somerset....

i have been to my my county trails the past 5 years and it is hard work. They work fitness and the basics to see how well you can do them. Expect a high standard of cricketers there and a lot of competition. Sometimes it feels you have to impress but you have got the trials for a good reason so be yourself, play your normal game whether its whacking it or tapping it about. Do what feels comfortable and try your best. Good Luck.
