What is used to bond laminates?
« on: October 21, 2011, 07:23:11 PM »

I have an old bat that needs some major face repair. It has some pieces missing, cracks galore etc. I was going to use it for experimentation, try a few things to see how it affects the bat. Being an engineer and a cricket nerd, I like tinkering around with bats in my spare time  ;)

So I thought of trying the bonding material that is used in lams, to see if it can breathe some new life into the old stick. It's unlikely the bat will ever make it past the nets, it's too battered.

Anyone on here know what glue or other substance is used in lams? PM would be fine if the subject is too "sensitive"

If that's the case, I will have a bouncy trampoline on my hands... used PVA to glue down some of the cracks already.
