He is a very good player, remember seeing him score a big hundred for Derbyshire couple of seasons ago,  had a couple of beers afterwards, nice enough bloke.

gotta feel for him, although it's not as bad as brett geeves. He got 99 not out, twice. Well played by marcus north, one for the future when ponting goes.

Its called the Evo

Also I would just like to say that although Im a massive MN fan and have been for years (regular forum goers will know I have been championing him for about 2 years now) I didn't think he batted that well. He left well but apart from that, he uppishly drove square of the wicket, he swept well I suppose...

I know this may get a little off topic but you have to feel sorry for Phil Hughes. i was so excited to see him play and he made a duck :'(

Did you see the shot he got out to though? Chasing a wide, high ball, and edging behind. He is a talent, but that was an horrendous shot, especially so early in his innings.

he started pretty well in 2nd innings, bit of a strange technique though. he seems to get square on a lot

First test match, anxious to get off the mark, a nothing shot to a nothing ball. He is relatively inexperienced in the game, with only a hand full of first class games, he will be a little flash happy to start with, but he will grow into the role. He is a great talent and I would back him to do well over a long period.

i totally agree with you, he is very young making debut against the fastest bowling attack in the world.
