Chase do them and they do strengthen the toe.

Do you mean like this:

The toe of my Salix swelled up after being left in the rain. Hawk fitted the insert, repaired the damage, did a full refurb and new salix stickers for £35. They told my that they put an insert into Steven Davies's Kook and he had latter split it from top to bottom, but the insert had stayed firm. I'd of thought £20-25 would be about what you'd expect to pay.

Hi,
I have had a couple of bats with them in and i have not had any of those split.
Someone told me that bats made by TK used to have toe inserts, but he stopped doing them after thinking they had little effect.
Bats used in professional game i dont think are allowed them anymore.

It downgrades your bat from an "A" to "B"" hence you can't use in league games (think it's only relevant in 1st class cricket)

Your only allowed something like 10% other materials in a grade "A" bat
