Julian Millichamp's guide
« on: June 01, 2012, 06:40:57 PM »

Found this video on preparing and knocking in bats from Julian Millichamp.
Quite interesting to see how little the oil penetrates the bat. almost cried when he cut it in half though  :(
Also knocking in times seem a lot shorter than other batmakers recommend (1-2 hours for oiled and 40 minutes for a faced bat)!
Would that be specific to screaming cats due to how he presses his bats??

The first cricket box was used in 1874.  The first cricket helmet was introduced in 1974. So, it took 100 years for men to twig that their brains were also worth protecting.
