Season Wrapping Up Here in Aus
« on: March 12, 2012, 08:41:59 PM »

Unfortunately there's only one more week of cricket left here, got my grandfinal this week which should be fun but after that...I'm back to counting down the months until the next season starts! I suppose on the good side is that there are always some real off-season bargains to be had so I may end up with some new kit!

As for the grandfinal, we're taking on the team that's been top all year and last time we played them they beat us by about 30 odd runs. The game was closer than the scorecard suggests too, as it just happened that game we managed to play our worst all season (8 dropped catches!  :o)

I'm really looking forward to it though, seeing as I'm still on a high from taking my first ever hat-trick in the semi and finishing up with 4/7 from 6 overs. :) I didn't get the opportunity to go for my first ever five-fa because the coach took me off for a while and we ended up bowling them out before I returned.

So the point of this thread? To make all you over the other side of the world feel very grateful for the time of the year you are about to enter! Enjoy it while you can.
