Electronic Scorebooks...
« on: April 26, 2012, 12:18:43 PM »

Ever since laptops had decent battery life, I've been looking for a scorebook to use electronically so I can create stats like those seen on the TV.

I found nxCricket last summer and used it successfully for a number of T20 matches. It was surprisingly easy to use and effective on the iPad.

This also looks pretty cool, but I haven't yet used it: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/natwest-chq-the-cricket-app/id452938116?mt=8

Does anyone else use these or other equivalents, and how have you found them?

THere is an ECB approved one that they are trying to get everyone using and there are heavy grants available I think for sing them. Can't remember what it was called but there was a link to the national scheme from the www.devoncricket.co.uk website

I think the NatWest CHQ app I linked to is the one that links with PlayCricket.

I have used nxcricket a lot andhinkit is great. I like the idea of the Natwest one updating play cricket however I am not sure how easy it will be to use. Nxcricket took quite a few updates to get it right.

CricHQ is taking over the world - https://www.facebook.com/CricHQ.  Don't mess around with anything else, just go with this - especially if you have an iPhone/iPad!
