Haha! I am indeed Manormanic.... I've played in some games where some of the deicions have been bordering on the hilarious.

Yeah, it does have a bit of a reputation - we merged with another club about seven years ago and they were positively ecstatic to be leaving that league!

im in middx championship and the behaviour of some teams is an absolute disgrace

for 1st 11 cricket in div 1 there are neutral umpires which has helped a lot.
div 1 2nd 11 no neutral umpires

im looking to play elsewhere ive got so sick of it.

dont know what the answer is but it's got very bad indeed

Last season in the hertfordshire league one of our players was given out for nicking it behind by a league approved umpire. i was batting at the other end and he did not touch it. batsman wasnt too pleased. moaned for abit and the keeper and slips started mouthing off. as the batsman walked off the opposition huddled up and the skipper called him back. thought that was refreshing to see

we've done that when it's blatantly not out ie. lbw given and he smashed the cover off it - we aren't that desperate to win. Alot of other teams will do anything to win, most of the time to cover up their own inadequacies, that's what disappoints me.

Get out!  I rarely slate other leagues/clubs etc, but the Championship is a really poor place to play!

I'm starting to notice this Motormanic......watching a lad at point claim a low catch that never carried in a million a couple of years back was probably the most galling moment i've had on a cricket field. I clearly saw it bounce in front of him but he got up, launched the ball into the air started celebrating and becase of this the ump gave me out.... I'm not proud of this but I had a couple of choice words with him when leaving the field (the only time I've ever exchanged views with an oppo player not in jest). Shocking sportsmanship.
