have to agree with the 1st post.
i had a chase 167 since i was 18 (now 32) was by far the best bat ever, hence why i had it for so long.
i still remember the very 1st shot i played which started my love affair with this bat. i played a match against a lancashire development team. cant remember who was bowling but he had a rather long run up!!! prob nothing to better batsmen but not being that good i was a little nervous as he came bounding in. it was a full straight delivery so i played a bog standard forward defensive. low and behold the ball hit the middle of the bat and flew back over the bowlers head for 4 runs (landing only 2ft short of a 6) not bad for defensive shot with no follow through at all.
sadly my beloved bat broke last year. for that years birthday my missus said she would by me a new one (very kind of her) always fancied a salix so that is what i now use (£200 much to her disgust).
i popped into lukeys only 2 weeks ago as a mate needed some new boots. and the 1st thing i see is the chase mentioned above. i had to pick it up and have a feel for it. it is just the most beautiful bat i have ever seen. now nothing against the salix but i was under the impression that chase had gone bust??? if i had known better this is the bat i would have purchased!!!!
i cant express how good this bat is. in looks in its pick up. the way it feels. going to have to stop as the salix is giving me dirty looks
