I've knocked a few balls in the nets with one but never played a game with one mate. I was torn between the GT SPS and the TT SPS so I had a few dozen overs in the nets with both - to be honest I chose the TT as I loved it. However the GT was a cracking bat and if I had the money I'd have bought both and would have been a very happy man. I have since sold the TT and not used a Newbery since so take this review as it comes really. Rather negative I know but in a nut shell... Yes I've used one, yes I liked it but not enough to buy one as I personally thought there were better options

I've got a newbery GT Players and it is an absolute gun! it's light, and the edges at the toe are a bit vulnerable but the missle is massive, even lower down the bat where their isnt much meat the ball screams off the middle!!

Great great bat

Thanks :) I am using Newbery Thruxton SPS (I taped my toe right away I got it as toe on thruxton is not that bulky either).
Pick-up and balance?  Performance as its an SPS should be top Notch.
So would you suggest it for a top order batsman .

P.S.- If you dont mind telling which number do u bat at ?

I bat all over, have opened a few times this season, and batted as low as 6 too lol

Pick Up is sublime, best picking up bat. If I knew how good the pick up was I would get an extra 2 or 3 lbs to the weight.

I'm not sure you can say certain bats fit certain order. Think more about your game, where you hit the ball/shots you play often?

Must be a truly amazing pick up if you could add 3lbs to the weight  :)
