My 2013 Match bat choices
« on: September 06, 2012, 12:40:20 PM »

Right I'm looking for a new bat for next season but not looking to spend to much. The Grade of the willow is not to much of an issue, as even though I'm hoping to improve my batting, I will most likely be out after a few overs. But I'm moving from the orange kit of the GM d30 to the more classic look of TLB pads and gloves, so I'm looking for a bat with a classic look for the stickers or a blank stick. Ive narrowed it down to 3

1 - Duck and Run G2, currently at a good price http://www.duckandrun.co.uk/Duck-and-Run-Cricket-Bats/Centurion-4-Star-G2-English-Willow-Cricket-Bat/details

2 - TLB G1 bat http://www.tlbcricket.co.uk/#/shop/4563301723/Premier-Edition-Cricket-Bat/1754588 looks like a good stick and nice chap.

3 - H4L http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=19024.0 (ideally bat one with no stickers)

At the moment I'm swaying towards the TLB. But the duck and run represents good value for money. Then the H4L talked of quite highly in this forum. Either way I will be waiting until the end of the month to purchase. Any help chaps.

If you could save up a little more..

virtually new, grade one - likely to be a fair amount better than any of the three you are thinking about...

I guess my opinion would be.........

D&R bat - have heard a few decent things. Word of mouth seems like an adequate bat.
TLB are stickered up brand. But from what I remember they looked decent enough bats, and I'm sure I saw some on ebay so trading on there?
H4L would be my choice. I have had 3 and each have been guns. And again, word of mouth is always excellent with them. So if it was one bat, I wouldn't need to think too much about it fella.
