He is getting there, definately the rising star of the Indian team.
By far the classiest player in the team and will be one of the biggest stars in world cricket in a few years.

The best thing about Virat is how he has matured his game in last 2 years. he has gone through his share of personal issues a few years back and has made a serious comeback with his all concentration only on the game.
On the other side players like Rohit and raina (in test cricket) are wasting their chances.

You've only got to look at the run chase yesterday as proof. Raina dances past one trying to heave one out of the park. Kohli (coming off the back of a classy 1st innings hundred) and Dhoni steadied which at one point was a very shaky ship.

His one day stats over the last 2 years are crazy.

2012:

1026 Runs @ 71 in 16 innings

2011:

1381 Runs @ 47 in 34 innings

His 183 was Majestic.

Few years ago I always rated Rohit Sharma over Virat Kohli but now he has reached different level altogether

In current form and attitude that he's shown, I'd think he's better than both those players at the moment.
