Think they are just a hindrance and with people wearing sweatband i prefer my gloves to go back to the old style as i never used them for sweat anyway and my wrists don't sweat either.

If you wear a helmet, sweatbands be pretty useless on the wrists anyway.

I find them more comfortable than the old style.

You mustn't bat long enough Dave to have sweat start running down your forearms... But then again you guys don't play in 40+ degree heat do you...

I think the sweat bands on the gloves are far more comfortable than the older style

I have played in Australia bud never needed them there due to the obligatory sweatband further up not needed in that area around the gloves bud in my opinion agree about the helmet but I mean one half way up my arm like most on the front arm and I just run my head with it.

Also played in 49 degree heat didn't need them there either comfort maybe to some but I still prefer the old wristlets or some kind of hybrid needed

The wrist band attached to the glove was one of the best innovations in glove tech that there has ever been.

I don't think you are going to get any takers.

not only does it help with sweat, it can also help minimize a blow to the wrist from an unexpected bounce or a throw in.

i never use them as sweatbands but i do find them as a comfortable addition to actually wearing the glove.

Have you seen the M&H Distinction or Alpha gloves Dave? Might be your cup of tea.
