My New Laver Churchill
« on: March 09, 2009, 07:06:16 PM »

Hi,

I have just received my shiny new LaverWood Churchill.

It weighs 2lb11oz but feels incredibly light and the pickup is extremely lightweight.  It took just four days to arrive here in England from initial posting.  I went for a mid placed sweetspot and a traditional  oval cane handle which is thicker than normal.  The concaving is subtle and the actual middle is quite long.  There is a subtle bow and the performance is really good.  Iv been told by James Laver that it will take roughly half the season to peak so I'm very happy with that as the ping is awesome already.  8 grains with heartwood on the edge.  It has alot of speck and some blemishes but that is what i love in a bat. Also at some angles i noticed it has a lot of bar stains. Edges are 30mm and the peak of the spine is 67mm.

edit found out how to put piks on as you can see..

nice wallpaper....

bat looks a beauty, though not so keen on those stickers. Did you specify those, or is that how James is doing them these days?
