its been awhile...
« on: January 12, 2013, 07:52:38 PM »

So its been awhile since I've posted some of the things I've been up to, but been working on a few bats for people for the coming season. So just to fill you guys in. I've just sourced a new stock pile of clefts and some for experimenting and designing some new profiles. Also been investing into other tools to shape the profiles. So here are a few experiment bats I made this afternoon for nets. Let me know what you guys think. Negatives and positives. (please not these are low grade clefts so don't expect to fall in love)

Cheers guys!

Thanks guys! Just trying out a few ideas to create a light pick up but maintaining the big edges. Both weigh just shy of 2.9 working of different ways of sanding as well. Will update soon.

looks like a slightly offset edge and you've flattened the spine. Good effort, looking forward to hearing the final specs.

You are correct. I've found that being slightly offset helps with the pick up whilst maximising the middle. Also trying out the flatter face when pressing.
