Always worn mine. Beard/stubble is never an issue as I always shave the morning of a match. (About the only time I do.  Tend to look like sasquatch come 1st pre-season net session!)

I dont really mind, I just keep it on because im not really worrying about my helmet. Concentrating on making runs

i pull the little chin bit off as i reckon they get minging and never feel that comfy anyway, i still keep the strap on though

I try to keep it to my chin as much a possible. Its safe, thats the reason we wear protective equipments  :-[

I keep it on mailnly for the fact as if it wasnt important they wouldnt ut it on there, the fact that every brand does it must prove that it enhances protection?

Keep it on. Helps in the fit and also some protection if ever the ball ricochet off the edge or odd bounce on to the chin.
