A little bird tells me the Oblivion and Powerbow are on their way. And the Powerspot is on its way back, along with one or two more. Could all be chinese whispers though.

Powerbow shape since its changed graphics from canary yellow to fluoro yellow has been pretty concaved. Hasn't stopped me using one though, belter!

I love the majority of the Gray Nicolls range but the E41 is a favourite. I may send my Quantum off to be refurbished just to get the E41 stickers put on it. The A61 is nice.
Next season I hope we get E41 and A61 softs as they look so nice.

I'm planning to go back to robertsbridge for another hand-picking session when the dynadrives are back in (GN have been out for best part of a month now, but apparently getting some more in late next week). If anyone fancies a nice new GN bat for the new season, please do get in touch...

I had a look at the GN bats today in my local cricket retailers, and noticed that the A61 didn't actually have that much concaving compared to the Powerbow. Might just be my imagination, but I liked the A61 the best out of all the bats I saw there. Shame they sell everything at retail price though! :-[ The manager did say he would sort out a price for me if I wanted anything though, since I bought like 10 bats from them in the space of 4 years or something! 8)

Overall, much more impressed by the GN range than the Kookaburra range, I just felt that the Kooks had the life concaved out of them, and after a mallet test, they sounded harder pressed...

I agree about the Kookaburra bats, Chad.  I've knocked in a couple of the new ones recently, and they seem a lot harder than I remember them being.  I wonder if the new flatter faces means they are pressed differently? They definitely didn't sound as hard as this last year...

With a flatter face there is more pressure on the edges and as such would that require a harder press to protect the thicker edges?
Also if it's concaved to blighty, you are getting in essence a flat back, with a lack of bulk to support the bat, would that require harder pressing?
