Considering which bat to buy on a limited budget.

So here is the situation. You have £150. What do you get and why? I am considering a new stick but don't know what to get!

I like bats 2.7-2.8 mid-low/low middle, light pickup, not fussed about edge size or tonnes of concaving, I have a nasty looking Adidas Pellara which has a nice middle as it is long and goes from low to mid up the blade. Handle I like oval at the bottom and round at the top, not too thick either (Slazenger/Adidas kind of thickness). Would like to get a blade that looks nice but I don't think you can get a high grade stick for under £150. Would be nice if the bat looked good. Not too many stickers either, I like to see the willow!

Any suggestions?

Id go for the lithium Players II, the £140 one in the clearance section above. I really like the profile. No concaving, mid middle. Not highest grade wood but id imagine will play just as well.

Yeah thats another good option. Those posts were posted while I was writing. Ryans prices are very very competitive, and im sure the bats are very good. Would like to try one some day soon

I might have to look into that! I am a bit picky about profile/weight/grains etc... so hopefully whoever I buy from won't be sick of me before they make it haha.

Blank bats have just continued they're offer for some g1's all for 150 all in. Links under their section I think

not to take anything away from bat makers on here, but kookaburra have some beautiful bats out this year, and even some of the lower grade ones have looked stunning. especially those at Uzi sports. I tapped a few up when I was over at dummer (serious cricket) and they felt very good.

Im also looking for a bat as well but around the £100-£120 mark. I have to agree that Uzi Sports had some great looking richochet 250s  http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=22694.0

They do have some very good bats out at the moment, but my current match bat is a Kook and i'm not very happy with it as it is not that responsive. Will go for a custom made bat and see how I get on with it!
