Affinity cricket stopping business
« on: April 22, 2019, 05:10:31 PM »

I just saw a load of their stickers for sale on eBay. On the description he says that he is stopping affinity cricket.
A shame, I’ve had 3 carbines and they’ve all been great.
Now wait for a load of stickered up crap purporting to be Affinity’s on eBay.

That's not good!

Did Affinity make their own bats or were they made by someone else?

Marcus made all his own bats as far as I am aware.

I dont think Affinity ending is anything to do with lack of business, he is simply that busy with other interests (strongman & powerlifting) that something had to give. Good luck to him, top bloke

Not all just top grade bats. I spoke to him and he told me his lower range bats were Indian made.

I stand corrected. I thought all affinitys were handmade by him

Dang. Affinity bats are quality.
Better get m'self a set of Carbine stickers then!
One day when he gets bored of lifting heavy things, Marcus will hopefully return to podshaving.
One day...

Always heard he made good bats. That would be too bad!

He’s hung up his drawknife so he can focus on his powerlifting now.

I’ve bought a good few bats off him, always got a phone call asking about my game and got what I wanted when I received the bat. I’m going to bodypower next Sunday at Birmingham to see him. Got a call from him out of the blue a couple of weeks ago and was on the phone for a good hour. Went back into the kitchen and the wife said ‘was that Marcus?’ Top bloke
