Sorry if this has already ben covered (most probably has)

but..... what on earth are pittard palms and calf etc.?

Is it something to do with the cut of leather or something?

they are the type of leather used to make the palm from, pittards is a company in yeovil UK who produce the leather with special treatments to add to its properties.

Calf leather is the most common type used in the majority of gloves.
