So the day started at 7.45, it was a long journey but made longer because of the snow, we should of arrived at 10.15 but arrived at 2, we were greated by John about 10 minutes from his house, he then drove us to his house, there was tea and biscuits  waiting there for us, we then had a chat about Cricket in general, then it was off to the workshop, i had already emailed him my requirments so there was a bat already made for me , but took and Oz off in the end , there was some Raw clefts and some part mades there, i then went to pick out gloves pads bag and thigh guards.

Also the soft pockets from wilike real top quality, no damages to any of bats sinced i started using them.



Overall a great day, apart the long drive there, i would highly reccomend to anyone great set up and nice guy. i would like to thank John and his Wife for there hospitality.

Was there much bat making equipment there when you visited? I'm local so should really go over and see what's what.

Bat looks good, i thought you said you had seen him make your bat in the previous thread?

soft goods are of a good standard. a friend of mine had his kit at the start of the season. pads did look on the small side though for mens size. the bat was a rocket tho, it also imploded like one too. cracked straight across the splice on the back. was informed that it had been mistreated and that it wasnt a warranty fault so wouldnt be replaced. it was about 2 months old if that as it had originally been changed as the first one was a complete plank and broke quickly too. having dealt with john myself(fobbed off and poor excuses) and also my friends experience i can safely say i wouldnt use them again. thats just my experience though. as others have said they are more than happy with the product/service.

With the prices they are charging, they better fix their warranty policy.

It was across the bottom of the splice and then went up towards the shoulder and down an inc or so. He now uses kook gear!

splice cracks happen when the handle isnt fitted correctly a pure manufacturing fault
