Geraint Jones was a different situation, he has much higher potential with the bat and Foster, and he didn't fulfill it, so he was quite rightly dropped... Tim Ambrose would be my choice ahead of Foster, but Prior stands out a mile in front of both of them... In my opinion your thoughts stem from jumping on the "Oh a dropped catch, I wish we had a perfect wicket keeper" bandwagon, but you would miss Prior as soon as our long tail is exposed. Creating pressure from standing up has a minimal to zero effect in test matches, why would you want to stand up when you want to give yourself the maximum chance of taking a wicket, rather than stopping run flow
