Going from League to Twenty20
« on: May 16, 2013, 11:06:57 AM »

Do people think that when you are in good form in a longer format of the game playing twenty20 can hinder your form and make you play worse due to things such as trying to hit the ball to hard etc?

When I played evenign league cricket, I had good form throughout the evening league reaching a fair few 50's, but ended up playing to aggressively on a saturday and getting found out and no runs in the longer format

If you play T20 sensibly, i.e. you play proper shots, when you are in form it should make next to no difference. The only real chaange between T20 and longer formats should be based on the risk you will take per ball. So in 50 over cricket where you might leave something, in T20, you will play it, but in playing it, play it properly and don't slog. This shouldn't hinder your form.

Simmy am I right in thinking you've bagged yourself both a new affinity and ayrtek due to your recent form and race to 500?
