Another great article. I'm really enjoying them! I thought I had a pretty good mental routine until I started reading these pieces and I have realised that I could simplify it so it's definitely got me thinking...Thanks  :)

Great article. Only thing I would say is at the point of release you should not focus on a box where the ball is but focus an the ball itself. One of the biggest faults in club cricketers is that they think they are watching the ball where in fact they are just watching an area where the ball is released.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading. I feel like I am more aware of what makes a good batsman.  I find it difficult to switch off as soon as the ball hits the ball which translates to slower judgement of singles.

Please can these topics be coalesced to one or made sticky  ?. Too good to be lost over time and I feel it is necessary to read as many times possible.

Taking my time works for me, I stepped back from the crease and had the bowler go back (he only had a short run up) as he was trying to rush me, I had just scratched my mark and he was almost at the umpire.  A simple routine will help, and I am going to bring it to the nets tonight.
