Batting, it's only as hard as you make it...
« on: May 29, 2013, 01:53:08 PM »

I saw this towards batting and thought it was perfect!

"Mental and physical preparation, superstitions, red bull and all anyone sees is a number... make sure it's a good one"

Makes you think why are we so particular about our kit when it makes no difference what so ever to how you play!

I follow the path of " simplicity is the best option"

In Bob Woolmer's book there is a piece with Steve Waugh and it says something similar - I think it is the "5 steps to success" and it talks about ditching the red rag in his pocket...!!

Make sure it is a good number... that focuses the mind nicely.
