Anyone watching Surry Vs Essex now Solanki has TON bat and gloves yet is wearing Kookaburra pads and has made no effort to cover the branding?

Yea I am and noticed that, maybe he has no sponsor? And just uses what ever he gets for free or trade price etc. I wouldn't be surprised if he was unsponsored as not a big name player anymore and companies have been looking after purse strings after last years awful weather and current financial climate.

Vikram was signed up by Sareen for 2013, would be surprised if they have parted ways already, mind you, Sarah Taylor left for GM pretty quickly.

Would never read into the pads a player is wearing, particularly when coloured ones.

Brands place a limited order at the start of the season for their coloured pads and if they run out or sign a player late, or the county switches pantones mid way through a season it means you have to source some from elsewhere or get a last minute pair flown in from India.

a lot of counties just get bulk lots of coloured pads for the lads who are not expected to make the one day side to use as and when.

SS are definitely targeting the 'British Asian' market.
