If the batsman misses a couple of drives, I like to pipe up with "put your seatbelts on boys, this guy can't drive!" Usually gets a chuckle...  :D

The best retort to banter/sledging is hitting runs, soon shuts them up.

We've recently added "he's clearly bowling a marble" to our long line of comedy one liners.

It's really well humored and we mainly share a joke with the oppo.

Has anyone else been anti sledged?

Just wondering as this happened to me on the weekend, after going in at 10, and managing to out score most of the top order, think we were on about 70 when I went in, I heard from the slips "What's this guy doing at 10 after some of the (No Swearing Please) they sent in above him?". This had the effect of giving me a boost of confidence for the next ball, which I duly edged straight to 1st slip to wrap up our innings .

I couldn't help but think after I was out that I never would have chased that wide ball if they hadn't said that.
