Breast Cancer Pink Batting Gloves
« on: June 14, 2013, 04:53:37 PM »

Hello everybody.
It has become a tradition, at my school, that the 1stXI cricket team has a day where we play our version of the "Pink Test", to raise money for breast cancer research. Now this cause is very strong within the school because one of the 1st's rugby player's mum died from breast cancer last year. Each year this day becomes bigger and bigger, and raises thousands. And the whole school community comes to watch and support the cause.

Anyway, I was wondering if it would be possible to order 3 pairs of Fluro Pink Batting Gloves, to wear with our pink uniforms whilst batting. I know this is a big ask and have asked some companies about pricing and they all have minimums. I would ideally not want to spend over $100 AUD for 3 pairs of these Pink Gloves, and would not need them until early next year. Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction, possibly donate the gloves?, or help me with where to find these for a low price. Remember this is for a very deserving cause, Jane McGrath recently dies of this, and the McGrath foundation was set up in her name.

Thanks Everyone, Rowan.

I had come across that company before, being in school we dont really have very much money to spend, thats why i was hoping for a discounted price, as it is towards a good cause. Also i would prefer something with a bit more pink, say 40-100% of the glove?

Thanks anyway Mr Ayrtek ;)

Best if luck in your quest as this will mean custom making them which comes at a cost, even more so when low volume and bespoke.

mmmmmm yeah, this is the downside, it will be extremely expensive and is probably better to just spray paint an old pair of gloves pink, and give the money to the McGrath Foundations I guess!, unless any forum members were willing to help ;).

As Tom's said Neon cricket might be your best bet. I seem to remember GN's Quantum range was quite pink, so maybe have a look there.

You don't stand a chance getting 3 custom made gloves for 100 AUD!

Yes Online Stockist do deliver to Australia, but ive heard stories about his grandfather dying and people having very long waiting periods for their gear.
How would one go about dying cricket gloves pink, without hardening the palms?.

Old gloves and spray paint looking a good shout, or buying a cheap pair of gloves just to spray??
