Bowl Outs
« on: July 30, 2009, 03:23:15 PM »

Lancashire were knocked out of the 2020 cup on a bowl out to Somerset after they couldn't get play started on a third day. This is a cruel way to be knocked out of a competition but there isn't any other way to decide it other than stupid ways like a coin toss.
I can't think of any other ways, I was just wondering if anybody else could?

Super over in damp conditions.

In this case, Somerset and Lancashire couldn't get onto the Field so they had to do it in the Indoor School

Yeah, super over in damp conditions, not waterlogged conditions, if there were huge puddles on the pitch and playing would heavily damage the pitch then just have a 6 hitting contest, see who can hit the biggest six.
