My GM Luna 606 Review
« on: July 30, 2013, 11:26:52 AM »

Felt i better get a GM bat, always liked the designs and the stickers, when i bidded on this Gm Luna 606 for $100, I thought it was a good deal.

I think it looks really nice for a grade 3, i had a SG bat that was grade 3, looks better then my slaz elite and i think that's grade 3 too, nice straight grains, think there is 7.

The pick up is amazing, i only need 1 grip due to the pick up and the thick-ish handle, it weighs 2'10 and picks up 2'7-2'8, not bottom heavy at all.

The ping is really good, especially for a grade 3, on par with my slazenger elite but not quite as good as my L&W, not too far behind though

Finishing is nice, extratec at the bottom of the bat is wearing a bit but i put that down to shipping

Over-all, very nice bat, not sure why they discontinued it, would recommend if you can pick it up!

On a related note, did anyone else find the gold grips on the Luna to be made of pretty hard rubber and give a slippy sort of grip. Not sure if it was just my mates or it was that type of grip, but it's terrible compared to the other GM models which have the same grip only in a different colour.

Not a fan of the gold but looks a decent bat, especially for the price you paid. Hope it serves you well

Just having a pick up with my hands i haven't taken notice, but probably need to have a bat to make a good assumption

I feel this is why the Luna was discontinued so early. I think they're really nice bats, lovely profile and play well.

But the colour scheme isn't attractive. I imagine this had a knock on sales so they stopped it.

What is likely to have happened is the grip perished due to being on display for a long period of time, as Luna's were not great sellers.

At that price you can't complain. The gold colour scheme is not for me either

It's good that you like the pick-up. All the Lunas I ever picked up I felt were bottom heavy.

I guess so, i presume they're not all like that then?

I used to have Luna 909, the scooping took away lot of wood and power out of the bat.e..finally decided to trade it.
