After a few emails back and forth with kookaburra, i have found out that the midas, viper and firebird are only going to be released in australia as they are splitting the brand, similar to gn 

Looks like im going to be paying some hefty airfair deliveries

It isn't that much of a bad news story. Considering the profiles are most likely going to be identical through the range. All that changes are the stickers.

What are the benefits of splitting the ranges like GN and Kook are doing?

You can charge higher prices in Australia, and not run the risk of people importing from the UK where they're cheaper.

GM looking like they're doing it too.
