How do brands burn their logo on the bat?
« on: July 05, 2013, 02:18:58 PM »

I've always wondered how brands burn their logo on the edges like SS and Gray Nicolls do..

What tool is used for this?

May sound a silly question to some of you, thanks

They use a lighter and a lot of free time.

So yep its branding and it must take a while to figure out the right length of time to brand for without scorching the wood

Think electric Branding Irons are upwards of £200 dependant on size when I had a look at them.

I think you could do this:

Get a template, cut out of plastic, or metal, place it on the wood, use a heat gun to burn it on.

Bosh, 200 quid still in your sky rocket.
