Using spiked trainers on Astroturf?

Hi,

I recently purchased these shoes from the US in the hope of having them spiked by a local shoe specialist.



I play about 50/50 on both surfaces (Grass and Astroturf), the issue is that when I place the plastic conversion spikes in the shoes I wont have enough grip when bowling? I think this will be the case because unlike normal cricket shoes, spiked trainers have the leather underlay which provides no stability in comparison to the grippy rubber of cricket shoes.

Ha anyone experienced this or played on astroturf in spiked trainers with conversion spikes?
