I can relate to this mate. Stick to your decisions.

Sometimes things have to get worse to get better.

Be selfish from now on and park team spirit aside for the time being.

5. I'm not scoring either...
6. I find plenty to do!

Lol guilty of these two myself but I genuinely do plenty. Finance, money collection, opening the ground, filling in league score sheets, sending in scores etc.

I actually even started scoring last saturday before the fall out.

i am in pretty much the same position. 1st team captain stepped down mid season due to lack of commitment and struggling to get sides etc. i took over and its hell. currently have 4 for saturday. both teams are struggling in the league and the attitude sucks!

no selection panel
2s dont want to play 1s
no pressure for your place because the 2s arent performing (some of the 1s arent much better)
Junior side folded as it wasnt being run properly and the person running it was too proud to ask for help.

both myself and the sunday 1st team skipper are struggling to want to continue next year as every game is a struggle and its far from enjoyable. I feel your pain mate!

I think it's a similar situation at many clubs and many clubs will fold in the next 10 years as volunteers retire or simply dry up.
