Who's used their gear? Lets just say I get a decent discount so can get any of the gear from their website at good prices, its out of Charlie French, blank bats and CJI for my new gear!

I used to have a 20% of sponsorship 2 years ago. The bats were very good however wasn't keen on the pads but really like the gloves

Were the pads uncomfortable or just not good protection?

I bought a CF Premier Cru last year. Performance and ping were excellent but sadly the bat didn't last for a season

Wasn't there a Premier Cru going about the forum ages ago, think it was a Christmas raffle! Simmy and Reds won I believe. From what I've seen the bats were decent and grainy! No idea on the softs though and am interested to know more. PPR1/PPR2 Gloves/pads don't look too bad if you can get them for a good price

I bought my brother a Premier Cru for his b'day about a year ago. It took a while to open up but once it did, it pinged really well and the sweetspot is mighty generous. So if you do choose a CF bat, be patient with it and give it time to open up.

Have had a few charlie French bats in the past and all been belters but only last a season in my experience
Softs were a little hard to begin with but just need some time and they will be fine
Plus Charlie is a top bloke

I've had 3 cf bats in the past and they have all lasted a season
The handle went on one
The second one cracked at the toe and up the blade
The third spilt in half vertically
I did ask charlie for performance so maybe that meant he pressed them softer and not to last

I have always found CF to be very decent.
But cricket bats are organic and can crack at any time!!
