NATO - doesn't Ryan Watkins (ex Glamorgan) play in Div 2?

were in exactly the same position in the B&D senior, if we get promoted it will see us move into a new league outside of the Bristol and District that the club have never reached before. We are due to play 2nd place on Saturday weather permitting so a win would seal the title and promotion.

Good luck for Saturday mate although weather is looking ropey, be a big step for you guys.

We are second behind d7bow's lot in our division with 2 of the 3 bottom teams to play so looking good. Our ten point penalty for missing a league meeting looks more frustrating by the day though  >:(

Truly deserve to be relegated to D from C and surely headed that way with just 1 win and 1 losing draw this season.

Whole array of problems with performances in our club this year. We have only once played full 40 overs and in most matches we are having 4 - 5 ducks.

I personally would prefer to play in C as it is a lot more competitive than D.

Do you foresee your side bouncing straight back next year?

Currently 3rd in KRCL 1A west, 29 points behind top with a game in hand.

Got 3 games remaining against 4th, top and 6th, huge game in two weeks against top which is likely to be looking like the title decider. Doesn't help that the top team are a bunch of w******.

Currently in a relegation battle (somehow) got top of league next weekend, then 2 teams that are down with us after that.

Really need the weather to hold as although we have had a great summer so far lost 3 games either lost totally r not completed due to rain.

Need to win 1 of our last 2 games to have a good chance  of staying up. Otherwise we'll be down   :(

We bagged a win on Saturday in what was prob the most miserable conditions I have ever played cricket in. Wet when we were bowling and dark when we were batting, still, we managed to hit the winning runs with 5 balls to spare that saw us to a league title and promotion to the highest division in the clubs history with 2 games remaining.

Ecstatic with the lads and celebrations meant some sore heads for yesterday's game but have really enjoyed my 1st season as captain.

No play in our division at all on the weekend, which makes us division champions. Bit of an anti-climax, but I'm sure the mood in the team for our last two games will be fantastic. Next year will be hard work though I feel.

2 games left in div 3 of the Somerset Cricket League. We're top by 30 points, but playing away to the team in 3rd on Sat. Squeaky bum time!

From what I understand, there are a few "reasonable" former pros plying their trade in Division 2. This is part of the reason I think next year will be more challenging for us!  :o

Unlikely. We have potential but most of the players lack heart from what I have observed. At least D will give them some practice and hopefully some confidence. I am switching to the top team who are moving up to B. Should be a good personal battle this. I will surely have to give up my opening spot for a number 5, 6, 7 as the new guys are rather good and been playing very well. But at least I will be playing with a lot less pressure.

A reasonable sacrifice to make I think. Will give you the freedom to just enjoy your game, as well as challenging yourself at a more robust level.
