Cleaning gloves?
« on: August 06, 2013, 11:54:22 AM »

I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice on cleaning mainly white gloves?

I've got the 2013 Hunts county clipper ones. Beautiful gloves, but from Sunday's terrible weather I've got a couple of stains on them. Nothing major just looks like a bit of mud. Tried using warm water and that's improved it marginaly, but is there anything I can use on them other than that?

I used to use darker coloured Slazenger ones which didn't show dirt, but as lovely as white gloves are these do :(  :D

white spirit works very nicely for pads and gloves, try not to get it on the palms though!

sorry to hijack the thread slightly, but does anyone know how to rejuvenate gloves that have become a bit crusty due to the amount of sweat in them? is it possible to just put them in the washing machine?

^DONT WASH THEM!, Leather softener?
But generally a sign that they need replacing if leather goes crusty.

I've always used baby wipes on both keeping and batting pads and gloves and they come up a treat. In terms of softening them, I've never tried or had to so I can't comment on that I'm afraid
