My bat collection
« on: October 12, 2013, 07:38:09 PM »

Evening guys

Thought I'd post my current bat collection on here to see what people thought.

All weights I give are with one grip unless otherwise stared.

First is my chase 150 finback. Weighs 2lb8 and cannot bring myself to part with it. Lovely bat

Next is a bat I bought in South Africa. It was originally a Wasp Sting 1000, but now stickers as a McGrath Foundation Puma. Weighs 2lb7

Next is the Kookaburra Ricochet I bought on here. Obviously new stickered as a neon. Weighs 2lb11 with 2 and a half grips

GM Octane 808 (Harrow) bought it because I liked the shape but short handle was too heavy for me. 2lb 6 and 3/4, pings wonderfully, highly recommend an Octane. Weighs 2lb10 and 1/2 with 3 and a half grips (due to anorexic kids handle, otherwise can hardly tell the difference when using it)

Woodstock Tour De Force Gold. Pings superbly but I don't get on with the shape that well. 2lb8 with 1 grip

Chase 175 Beluga, spoken about on here before, weighed 2lb7 with a grip and no stickers. Goes like a tramp on chips

Next is my GM Purist restickered as a Neon. I sanded the spine down and rounded it off to reduce weight. Now 2lb10 and 7/8 with scuff sheet and 2 and a half grips. This is a bilateral I have just clicked with, I think I may be in love haha

Finally a Hammer Fyrre (bought by my Dad off eBay, 90% sure it's SimonMay's). I didn't like the stickers Hammer put on so re-stickered again. Weight 2lb8 with 1 grip.

P.S I have no link with Neon Cricket, I just like the stickers and they match my gloves.

All that pink in your collection. You need to put the cherry on the icing on the cake and top it off with a Lion bat :)

Maybe one day I will, have more than enough bats to last the winter nets at least at the moment haha

It was originally a Wasp like I said, has a couple of marks and not the best grains, but picks up like a dream and pings as good as any others in my collection. Not the best looker by any means but I love it haha
