Latest creation with a vintage style
« on: October 20, 2013, 08:11:59 PM »

So it's been awhile since I've last posted what I've been up to making wise. This is my latest creation I was asked to produce for someone. Simply asked, they want a modern bat style profile that weighed around 2.8 and that still looked vintage and to the traditions of bat making. I was pretty excited to do this, as all my research and learning of bat making has all be on the traditional techniques. So here she is, comes in on weight and has 30mm edges. A few specs on the face which you grain lovers won't like, but in no way effects how she pings and not in the main driving area so won't make a difference anyway.

So let me know what you guys think and comments.

Looks like a nice piece, grains look like they run straight through the toe front to back, classic shape but maybe a tad thick on the edges for a really traditional style bat.
Well done :)

I think you have done a great job, it is great to see a more traditional shaped bat with smoothed edges.

Good to see some independent batmaking!
