Which bat should I get from South Africa?
« on: November 17, 2013, 05:19:01 AM »

Hi guys.

I'm going to SA For Christmas, and I was wondering what bat you think I should get.

Specs-
Budget : 3000 R
Size: SH
I am usually scoring along the boundary, but I am not a slogger.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I'm a big GM fan so would probably go with the Icon as I don't know much about the Purist.  Isn't B&S a SA brand?  I like the look of those so maybe there is another option for you but you really can't go wrong with any of those you mentioned if you can find a good one that feels good in your hands.  Good luck.  Always great fun buying a bat.

I would recommend D&P, and if you going to Cape Town, go to the store and check out the bats. Let me know if you need contact details and I'll put in touch with guys. Very helpful and knows their stuff.

I'd have thought Bellingham and Smith would have been worth a look.

Don't use the UK website though, you'll end up ordering one from me ;)

If you are going to SA i would advise going straight to Bellingham & Smith and getting yourself a belter.

Their SA website didn't work so I posted the uk one for details of where they are - should've pointed him in your direction Jake!

Agree, SA website is beyond poor. It still had a link to a Newbery 2006 range last time i checked.

I thought about offering a B&S, but once shipping back to SA is factored in, it is cheaper (and far far better, i would love to go to their factory) to go direct to B&S.
