B3 Birthday bash and 2014 range
« on: October 05, 2013, 08:30:11 AM »

I'm sadly not able to get up to Nottingham today for the birthday BBQ

I've had a glimpse at some of the 2014 range when I dropped my bat in for a refurb a few weeks ago.  Streaky said there were some changes to the samples he had.

I'm hoping someone can post pics of the new gear (if allowed) and let us know the prices.  I've seen the new pads, and WK samples; the quality is amazing - I would venture to say as good quality as M&H...

Streaky mentioned the prices would be very competitive.  Some pics of the wk range, new sausage gloves and the pads would be great...

A good day with over 100 visitors, Skype interviews with John Mooney & Dawid Malan and a telephone interview with Darren Gough, plenty food and refreshments laid on kids playing cricket out in the car park and plenty banter. A lot of willow on sale and some bargains to be had on the 2013 range.

Didn't take any photos myself of the new kit as the factory was very busy all day but will ask if Streaky and Russ can send some for me to post.

Bats - no new bats but with the options already available it would be hard to introduce something new

Gloves - improvements to the 2013 model with additional pittard piece added to the heel of the top hand and the thumb piece of the top hand changed to a harder wearing calf leather. A new split finger glove with silver carbon effect on first two fingers bottom hand and top two fingers of top hand, very comfortable glove.

Pads - again improvements both in materials and design to create a very nice pad,  addition of a leather type graining PU facing I'm sure if this was available from one of the big guns the cost would be very high but the price should be similar to this year

WK gloves - A very soft and supple calf leather glove with a long cuff. Only available in off white with a full cup. Still a change to be made with the addition of cane to the cuff will make these a good addition to any keeper kit bag.

WK pads - a simple design a very light weight pad.

Bags - none available to see on the day but will look pretty much the same with a few tweaks.

Don't think I've missed anything.

A delivery is expected in November and a lot of interest already from those who attended yesterday.

Thanks for the comprehensive update, much appreciated.  From what I've seen I definitely agree that the quality of the gear is high - I'll certainly be getting the updated gloves and wk gear...

are you a B3 ambassador or something? You seem to be overly excited by their gear.

I do like their products and what they do, I know the guys but in no way gain financially from them.

Fancy that - naked promotion of a brand on a thread - whatever next?

You're allowed to love a company's kit without financially gaining from it. If this isn't the case I would hate to see how much Cheese is earning from Gray Nics!

Love the way this thread is going i can confirm i'm not a ambassador and B3 have cost me around £800 pound this season.

New kit is good i like there keeping gloves i nearly shelved the sample pair but they only had one and there new keeping pads are minimalist and simple just like i like keeping pads to be (use your hands).

New pads remind me of kookaburra kahuna apart from using superior materials and the gloves are similar to last year which i used bar the pittard ware patch.  New style gloves are ok not my cup of tea but i know people will like them i like the simplistic look of all there kit.

I currently use the b3 big bag great touring bag used mine in india and i can say it is a very good quality bag.

Bats wise same as same best bats i have used plain and simple no rasmatas i got a crown the best of the best and to be honest it beats anything and i mean anything i have ever used.

My other 3 stripe custom is very very good too.

I talk about b3 because they are a decent set of chaps who love kit as much as anybody on this forum and between the lot of them even Rob who wants my Remfry's top class blokes who produce top class equipment who offer a unique service.

To be honest people who know them and know there business understand there kit is top class.

One day when i retire form my current job i want to work in the industry if i worked with people like the crew at B3 i would be very happy.

My motto

Enthusiasm is key, Quality Guaranteed
