Kane Williamson missed the first test due to his thumb injury this week. I turned up to my T20 game on Saturday for my club side and was told Kane was trying to get a game for us. It is his club but we were only playing T20s because the Rep guys play 2 dayers against other districts. Anyway the standard is pretty poor but apparently he was keen as mustard. The day before he was down to play he was called into the local rep side, which has a number of Northern Knights players in it. He bats 3 and scores 154, what a legend. 3 months off and bang a 100 in a pretty good grade. Would've been great to see him play for my club but even better that he is able to bat again.
Lets hope he does the same tomorrow.
